So here we are – a year after the idea of Wild Weaves appeared in my head. It was a very productive year with lots of creativity, work and moving stories about your equine friends. The interest in that kind of horsehair bracelets that I proposed, i.e. woven and not braided but at the same time in the “western style”, exceeded my expectations. Thank you all for the wonderful words about my handicraft I received for the past year. Nothing is more rewarding for me than realizing my work has made someone truly happy and we all know how much can a human attach to an animal and what such friendship means to us. The product I offer carries emotions and thus brings joy, evokes nostalgia, tears sometimes… All this gives almost another dimension to my work and makes it truly special for me as a weaver.
I started Wild Weaves with 6 bracelet models, all except one were with genuine leather base. After half a year Tchiva and Hoiho underwent some lifting as I call it – the leather which is a base to a horsehair weave received a groove in which the weave can “hide” 😉 That gave the bracelets not only more attractive look but also made the woven ribbon more stable on the leather. Now, after a year Wild Weaves says “good-bye” to Tesunke bracelet model – the one with eco leather. From July on only genuine leather bracelets will be available in the store and “Tesunke” will be replaced with “New Tesunke” – it will have 5mm wide horsehair weave just like old Tesunke but the leather will be genuine, with a groove and nicely finished with a few possible colors to choose from. Autumn, on the other hand, will bring two new bracelet models which might surprise you 🙂 So keep folowing us!
