Today I am going to show you how adding a color to the weave makes the perception of a whole bracelet change 😉

However elegant and stylish black-white woven patterns make seem, these are the browns that give kind of life to visual appearance of any bracelet. Look at the bracelets below – reddish brown can work perfectly together with black as a double-colored background for a white pattern.

Dark chestnut, on the other hand, is sometimes barely visible when mixed with black hair in one pattern. Especially in patterns where single lines of colors are formed within the woven ribbon.

Also, an interesting fact is that chestnut color in a tail hair bundle will always look more intense and a bit lighter than in the woven pattern where black hair overtakes the color in some way. You may want to remember about that when thinking of possible bracelet patterns from your horse’s hair.

We know that horses come in a variety of coat colors but that does not mean a direct correlation to the color of their tail hair. Most often you mail in to me black tail hair and it happens that you ask me to add a few light hairs from our stock hair to form a pattern which you really love. So if your equine friend’s hair doesn’t allow for a pattern to be woven but you would love to have it made – no problem, I will supply horse hair in contrasting color to add to yours and weave a pattern of you choice 🙂

Sometimes the tail is sunbleached at its very end. Unfortunately this few centimeters of brown will not allow me to make a colorful woven pattern from the tail because I need the color along the whole length of the hair. This is how weaving single hairs works.

Another thing is that the breed or management of the horse can influence the texture of the horsehair and we need to remember that while ordering a particular woven pattern. Not everything will be possible from any hair. If there are any doubts as to the outcome of the weaving process I will contact you to discuss the issue so please do not worry you will be unpleasantly surprised with the end result which is nothing close to what you imagined 😉
